Jeff L. Carpenter passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2016 surrounded by his family at the age of 83. He retired from Dow Chemical; was a resident of Walker and a native of Brusly, La. He was a US Marine Veteran who served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughter, Victoria Carpenter and Mike Grimmer; sons, Jeffrey Carpenter and wife Terry, Tim Carpenter and wife Barbara, and Christopher "Kip" Carpenter; their mother, Charlotte Vosion; grandchildren, Travis and Christy Carrier, Kye Sheets, Nikki and Joshua Carpenter, Brian Carpenter, Amanda Folmer and husband Dillon, and Missy White and husband Don; great grandchildren, Eion and Kaleb Carrier and Carlee Bell Folmer; sisters, Ella Lloyd, Shari Peter, Dot Barker, and Gloria Smith; brothers, Dewey, Jr., and Jerry Carpenter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Katie Thomas Carpenter; sister, Pee Wee Mendel; and brother, J.D. Carpenter.
Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 10:30am until religious services at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary, La.
