Caroline A. Henderson, 80, went home to God on Saturday April 5, 2014 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital following a period of failing health.

Born January 15, 1934 in Laconia, NH she was the daughter of the late Carroll and Bertha (Page) Abbott.

Mrs. Henderson was a graduate of Spaulding High School. For 27 years, she worked as a Payroll Clerk in the office of Colby Footwear. She was also a longtime active member of Emmanuel Advent Christian Church in Rochester, where she expressed her great love for her Lord and many beloved friends.

Caroline enjoyed devoting her time and talents to the family she so dearly loved, always putting the care of others before her own. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her great grandson Eli, who brought her much happiness. Time spent gardening, reading, baking, and doing puzzles also gave her enjoyment. Caroline will always be remembered for her kind, sweet spirit and will be missed by all.

Members of her family include her husband of 59 years James E. Henderson, of Rochester, NH; two children James C. Henderson, and Debra Corbett and husband Paul all of Rochester, NH; two grandchildren James and Ryan Corbett, one great grandson Elijah Corbett, three sisters Eva Berry and husband Busky of Center Ossipee, NH; Jean Eastman of Barnstead, NH; Edna Carr and husband Warren of Rochester, NH; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit Wednesday April 9, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11AM at the Emmanuel Advent Christian Church located on Eastern Avenue.

Burial will take place in the Rochester Cemetery at a later date.
