Evelyn Higbee Dayton Agutter "Nonnie"

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter of our Heavenly Father, returned to Him on July 8, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born on June 24, 1907 to Benjamin Franklin Higbee and Fothethel Johanna Nelson Higbee. She married James Edward Dayton, September 4, 1929 in Salt Lake City, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. James died May 14, 1941. She then married Harold F. Agutter, February 20, 1968. She was a member of the LDS Church and she was associated with the Federal Women's Club, belonged to the Ladies Elks Drill Team and she was past Auxiliary president of the United Spanish War Veterans and a National Delegate. She was employed by Mountain Bell, Union Pacific and then worked for the Army and Air Base during World War II. She was chief operator at Fort Douglas, Utah from which she received a meritorious service award. She was later employed at the Induction Center during the Viet Nam War.

She is survived by her husband; her three children, Constance Dyer, Carol (Stanley) Spotz, James (Mary Elizabeth) Dayton, and their children and grandchildren; in addition she leaves behind two brothers, Benjamin Higbee, Hollister Higbee and two sisters, Connie Carter, and Julia Askins. Preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Bobby; and two sisters, Holline and Ethel.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 13, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the Cottonwood 16th Ward, 1750 Spring Lane (5150 South). Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East and again at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the services. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery (500 South 1300 East). Funeral Directors, The Holbrook Mortuary.
