She was born on January 8, 1932 in the town of Rockland, daughter of the late Henry and Frieda (Wagner) Klann. Lavida helped farm on the family homestead in the town of Rockland most of her life. She was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville.
Survivors include her godchildren, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Harlan and her twin, William.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Timothy Nommenson. Burial will take place in the Westside Cemetery.
