Ronald James Adams, 70, of Machesney Park died peacefully Monday, July 18, 2011, at his home, after a long battle with cancer.
He was a source of inspiration for many and his presence was felt through his words of encouragement. He enjoyed fishing and working in his yard.
He worked for Ingersoll Milling and Machine for 35 years prior to retiring.
Ron is survived by his wife, Jennie; mother, Lillian Adams of Minnesota; son, Donald Adams of Georgia; daughter, Sherri Sumpter of Maryland; stepchildren, Debra Wall of Rockford, Kelly Caudle of Texas, Laurene Lizer of Pecatonica, Terry Brandenburg of Texas and Scott Brandenburg of Machesney Park; brothers, Gene Adams of Minnesota, Gary Adams of Arizona and Reno Adams of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his father, Donald Adams.
