Virginia A. McDonald, 70, of Jacksonville, Florida went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2016. Virginia, daughter of Frank Rhoden and Joyce Briley was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 16th, 1946. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

Virginia was preceded into heaven by her loving parents Frank and Joyce and her loving step-mother Joy Rhoden. She also was preceded by her siblings Pamela, Robert, Wands and John Londress.

Virginia was survived by her husband Ronnie G. McDonald, Son Jimmy Hendry (Courtney), granddaughter Jamie Hendry; Son Jerry Hendry (Elizabeth) granddaughter Kaylee Hendry; son Ronnie McDonald (Melissa) granddaughter's Emily McDonald and Haley Selling; son Shaun Houston and grandchildren Sarinah, Austin, and Hunter Houston; Sister Barbara Londress Barron and Brother Frank Rhoden Jr. (Pam).

Virginia loved her Savior Jesus Christ. She loved her family and loved being with them. She was a diehard Florida Gator fan and worked for the Florida Times Union for over 30 years as a composing artist. To the very end Virginia's faith was strong.

The celebration of Virginia's life will be held on Friday, August 26th at 10:30 a.m. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
