Lois May Hampton, 90, formerly of Shade Gap, died at 1:43 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at Woodland Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Orbisonia, where she resided.Born Feb. 16, 1926, in Three Springs, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Carrie (Locke) and Harry Park.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer J. Hampton, whom she married in December 1950, on Oct. 19, 2004, and 15 siblings. She was the last of her immediate family.She is survived by: a daughter, Carrie McMath and husband, Joseph, of Shade Gap; four granddaughters, Dulcie Stevens and husband, James, of Carlisle, Stacey McMath and Erin Sheffler, both of Shade Gap, and Joey McMath, of Radiant, Va.; and three great grandchildren, Nathanial and Haley Stevens, and Hannah Sheffler.Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
