LYONS – Phillip Alan Knight, 56, died Aug. 22, 2016, at The Denver Hospice, Denver, Colo. He was born April 4, 1960, in Scott City, to Kenneth E. and Jo Anna McCoy Knight.

A lifetime Lyons resident, Phillip graduated from Lyons High School with the class of 1978 and Kansas State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 1982. He was a farmer/cattleman and a member of Faith Bible Church, Lyons, the Kansas Livestock Association and AGR at Kansas State University.

He married Susan Annette Curtis June 1, 1980, at Prairie Village. Survivors include: his wife, Susan of the home; son, Aaron and Leanna Knight, Olathe; two daughters, Amanda and Eric Dynneson, Erie, Colo., and Alisha and Andrew Narvaez, East Stroudsburg, Pa.; five grandchildren, Father, Kenneth and Tamara Knight of Lyons; two brothers, Mark and Sherri Knight and John Knight, both of Lyons; two sisters, Kathryn and Mark Maxwell, Manhattan, Kan., and Judith Hutton, Wichita. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Anna McCoy Knight.

Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Faith Bible Church, Lyons, with Reverend Phil Green officiating. Burial in Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 7:30 p.m. with family present from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Memorials to Faith Bible Church or Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer's Network, in care of the funeral home.
