Mrs. Wilkinson, the daughter of Marcus and Ethel Hall, was the youngest of three daughters. She was born in Yemassee, SC. After graduating from Savannah High School in 1947, she attended St. Joseph’s Hospital Nursing School, graduating at the top of her class in 1950, as an R.N. Mrs. Wilkinson lived briefly in Glennville, GA and moved to Milledgeville in July 1957, where she spent the remainder of her life.
She worked as a nurse for the Baldwin County Health Department and Central State Hospital and in the mid-70’s owned Helen’s Dress Shop in Milledgeville.
Mrs. Wilkinson was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Paul Wilkinson and daughter Paula Gail Wilkinson. Survivors include Debra Ann Wilkinson Hood of Savannah, Glenn Paul Wilkinson, twins Alan Joseph Wilkinson and Gail Elizabeth Wilkinson New all of Milledgeville. Grandchildren: Jennifer Sasser, Leslie Hood, Bryan Pearson and Michael New; great-grandchildren Halley Sasser, Ashley Sasser,
Branden Sasser and Arianna Pearson.
