He was retired from Johnson Controls, an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Green Acres Baptist Church, Robinson Masonic Lodge #266 and Moose Lodge #5.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Ann Carlisle, Pamela Joyce Moore (Larry), Jeffrey Allen Ford (Dawn) and Douglas Ray Ford (Lisa); 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and siblings, Ruby McDonald, Carl Ford (Carolyn), Ina Humphress, Galoris Hedgepeth (Ralph), Marsa Cox (Daryl), Shirley James (Robert), Gary Ford (Pauline), Lana Ford, Eric Ford (Jennifer).
His funeral is noon Friday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation is 2-8pm Thursday.
