Alan Larimer, the beloved little son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Weigel, of North Henderson, was born at their home on November 7, 1911, and died May 6, 1912, aged five months and twenty-nine days.

Funeral services were conducted at the home, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by Rev. J. G. Jackson and the little form was laid to rest in the Mann Cemetery, near North Henderson.

On March 23 little Alan was taken dangerously ill with pneumonia which was immediately followed by inflammation of the bowels. He partially recovered from this and the direct cause of his death was infantile paralysis. The case for sometime has baffled the attending physicians, but all that loving hands and earnest prayers could do was done, but the Saviour had another use for him and his mission on earth was finished at 6 o'clock Monday morning. he was a brought and lovable little fellow and will be missed so much by the father, mother, little sister, Marian, and by many relatives and friends who loved him so dearly. It seems so hard for them to reconcile themselves to the fact that death has entered their home, casting a dark shadow over it, and taking from it the priceless treasure. No more they feel the touch of the soft little hands or the imprint of the little lips too pure for earth. For five weeks he suffered, but bore the pain so patiently. At 7:30 Sunday evening his pain became almost unbearable and for seven long hours suffered untold agony, but about one hour before he died he became easier and at six o'clock Monday morning the spirit peacefully released its hold on the little body, and passed on to the Saviour's arms. But the tender memories are only understood by those who have passed through troubles similar to this and we extend to the heart-broken parents and to the little sister, the deepest sympathy. May God give them strength to bear their sorrow and grace to say, "Though it is hard to give up our darling baby. Thy will, not ours, be done."

We will miss our little darling,
Our hearts will be sad and lonely,
though other little voices ring
We know that he is gone.

His little clothes we lay away,
No more he will need to wear,
for purer robes in that bright land
His Saviour didst prepare.

This sweet little bud in Heavenly soil
Shall break in fairest bloom,
To meet us on the shining shore,
Beyond this world of gloom.
