Richard P. West, 79, of Waynesboro, died Aug. 9, 2005, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro.
He was an Army veteran of world War II, and was a machine operation.
He is survived by one son, Wayne West of Waynesboro; one daughter, Wanda Moody of Waynesboro; one brother, J.T. West of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 11 at Freeman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Peyton Myers officiating.
Interment followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
