Mrs. Scott was born in Long Creek township on Sept 22, 1841. She was married to James Scott of Mt.Zion of Sept 13, 1860, and her home had been in Mt. Zion since that time. James Scott died Several years ago.
Besides nine children, Mrs. Scott leaves two brothers and one sister. The children are Mrs. J.W. Roberts of Antioch, Ill., Mrs. G.W. Cox of Mt. Zion, Mrs. Nellie Daltoff of Porter, Okla., Mrs. H.L. Grounds of Dalton City, Miss Cora B. Scott of Mt. Zion, G.B. Scott of Dalton City, C.W. Scott, T.B. Scott and H.G. Scott, all of Mt. Zion.
Mrs. Scott was well known in Mt. Zion. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 11 o'clock this morning in the Presbyterian church in Mt. Zion. Burial will take place in the Mt.Zion cemetery.
