Obituary of Gordon Victor Strong, Jr.
Gordon Victor Strong, Jr., 79, of Wiggins, MS passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 in Wiggins.

Mr. Strong was born June 28, 1937 in Lowell, MA to Gordon and Francis Strong. He served in the National Guard for 6 years before transferring to active duty with the US Air Force for 20 years. He then drove a taxi for Yellow Cab for 30 years. Mr. Strong enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards and telling stories about his military career.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sheila Clark; and his brother, William Strong.

Mr. Strong's survivors include his wife of 54 years, Maria Strong of Gulfport, MS; his children, Caroline (Tom) Heaps of Baker, MT and Angela (Alex) Dubuisson of Wiggins, MS; his grandchildren, Isabella, Stephanie and Christopher; his brother, Richard (Betty Gail) Strong; his friend Pat Harris; and his furry friends, Mater, Mandy and Marty.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Mr. Strong's nurses at Stone County Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at the O'Neal Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 5:00 pm. Friends may visit after the service until 7:00 pm. Interment will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 10:00
