Edna Mae "Edie" age 67, of Dayton, was born February 8, 1949 to Edward Brodie and Martha Mattison in Nashville, Tennessee. She transitioned Wednesday, August 17, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
Edna was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1968 and a graduate of the University of Dayton. Edna was a retired teacher of the Dayton Public Schools after 30+ years of service.
Preceded in death by her parents, Edward Brodie and Martha Mattison; sister, Linda Brodie, grandson, Jarrel Reid.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Kevin Reid, Rahsaan I (Fredericka) Reid, brothers, Larry Brodie, Ricky and Shawn Mattison, sister, Barbara Palmer, grandchildren, DeAngelo, Khalia, Rahsaan II and LaKenya Reid, Candice Crenshaw, devoted friend and companion, Shawn Dennis, other relatives and friends.
