Funeral services for Earl E. Jenkins, 81 of Elkhart, will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at First Baptist Church Elkhart, with Rev. David Franklin officiating.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.

Mr. Jenkins passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Cartmell Home for the Aged.

He was born August 31, 1934, in Corsicana, to Earl Elmer Jenkins and Inez Pegoda Jenkins.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elkhart, and retired from the State of Texas as manager of the Land Office Dept.

Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jan Jenkins Holland and son Ronald Ray Jenkins.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Chaffin Jenkins of Elkhart, daughter Rhonda Brewer and husband Lynn, son David Jenkins, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Morrison, Lynn Chaffin, Jerry Langston, Steven Langston, Gene Pegoda, and Perry Jones.

Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
