Pearlie Burton Sanders, 88, died 29 Jan 2002 at home with her family. She was born to Chest and Queen Ester Tony Burton in Waldo, Arkansas on 13 Sep 1913. She was the eldest of eight siblings of which all preceded her in death except one brother. She married Artis Sanders in 1933, to this union was born one daughter, Leatha Sanders Johnson, who also preceded her in death.

Artis and Pearlie moved to Ogden, Utah in the early 1940's. She became a member of the 2nd Baptist Church and remained loyal and faithful until her passing. She was one of founders of 2nd Baptist, and worked dutifully to keep the church in good financial standing as long as long as she was in good health.

She enjoyed cooking, being with family members and traveling. One of her favorite tours was with Billy Graham to Jerusalem.

She was preceded in death byher husband, Artis; her only daughter, Leatha Johnson; three brothers, Williw, Lindon, and Ben; and three sisters, Willie Mae, Thelma, and Vergie.

Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
