Paris – Karen Lynn (Fredrick) Todd, age 69, of Paris passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016.
She was born on September 21, 1946 in Big Rapids, the daughter of Benjamin and Louise (Zimmerman) Fredrick.
She attended Eastwood School, previously known as 5th Ward, was involved in Girl Scouts, sold candy at the school basketball games, and graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1964. Karen married Gary Dean Todd on November 7, 1964, and together they had three beautiful children; son Richard (Amy) Todd, daughter Patricia Todd, and son Mark (Sharon) Todd.
Karen worked at Ferris State University Bookstore for 21 years, retiring in 2007.
She was a member of Reed City United Methodist Church.
She loved all types of crafts, flower, gardening, genealogy, and especially watching her grandchildren grow and become such fine young adults.
Karen is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gary; three children; five grandchildren Eric, David, and Tiffany Todd and Anna and Jack Todd; one sister Janeene L. (Fredrick) Cory; one sister-in-law Lucy Fredrick, plus several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Alvin Fredrick; and two sisters-in-law Phyllis Fredrick and Rosemary Todd.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 at Reed City United Methodist Church, Pastor Kathryn Cadarette officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Interment will be at Parkhill Cemetery in Green Charter Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan P.
