Born December 13, 1935 in York, he was a son of the late George F. and Helen M. (Hartman) Beck.
A supervisor of steel fabrication, he had been employed at Formit Steel Company in Red Lion, as well as Wagman Construction and Prestressed Concrete. He also served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of Mount Wolf Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2493. He was a former member of the Susquehanna Lions Club.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Beck is survived by a son, Robert E. Beck, and his wife H. Annette Filoromo-Beck, of Petersburg; a daughter, Jacqueline E. James, and her husband Scott, of York; two granddaughters, Madison and Hailey; a sister, Joyce E. Smyser, and her husband Ed, of York; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Rodney E. Beck.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery, with military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
