From Contributor: jason2k5 (48669700):
Married David Browning on 6 Jul 1859 in Florida according to pension application.
(See pension application 30 June 1900 that explains his complicated marriage situation.)
"Pension application letter regarding rejection of Pension to Julia (widow of David Browning). This document shows that David was married previously to Elizabeth Vickers and that she left him for a man named Wiggins (the name John Wiggins is listed in affidavits included in the pension file). There was some question if David ever actually divorced Elizabeth thus casting some doubt if Julia's marriage to David was valid. This letter summarizes affidavits taken in an attempt to prove that David did obtain a divorce from Elizabeth."
