Ryan Lee Peterson, 39, of San Diego, CA, the son of Roger Lee and Barbara Jeanne Peterson was born on September 20, 1976 in Fort Dodge, IA and passed away on August 18, 2016 in San Diego, CA of an intestinal bleeding disorder.
He attended Webster City Schools, graduating in 1995 and attended the University of Northern Iowa where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance.
Ryan was united in marriage to Amy Michelle Dalton on August 9, 2003 and have two children, Kamryn Leah and Rory Dalton Peterson.
He began his career in Financial Management at Wells Fargo in Des Moines, and most recently with Rockwell Collins in the San Diego, CA area.
He loved the Hawkeyes, golf, live music and most of all his children.
He is survived by his wife, Amy, children Kamryn and Rory, San Diego, CA; brother Reid, Denver, CO; mother Barb and stepfather Roger Lenz, Webster City. Amy's parents Mark and Diane Dalton, Iowa City; brother-in-law Dan (Quan) San Diego, CA; stepbrothers Dan, Ankeny and Ryan (Becky), Adel; stepsisters Cara, Minneapolis, MN and Liza (Scott) Torborg, Rochester, MN as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Those he has joined in heaven include his father, Roger Lee, grandparents, Merle and Alice Peterson, Manson, IA and Floyd and Viola Draper, Pipestone, MN.
Memorial Services in San Diego, CA will be held on Monday, August 22 at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary from 3:30pm- 7:00pm.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, August 27 at Foster Funeral Home in Webster City from 10:30am- 2:00pm. Casual or Iowa Hawkeyes attire requested. Burial will be held at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery Manson, IA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted for his children's future education.
