Dapo was born August 29, 1944 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Joseph Eastburn Aldret and Marguerite West Aldret. He was graduate of Chicora High School. He served in the SC National Guard Reserves. He was a former employee at the Charleston Naval Shipyard for 20 plus years. He was the owner and president of Crosby's Seafood and the former president of Yellow Cab Company. He was a lifetime member of the Charleston Rifle Club. Dapo lived his life for his family and friends and his love, humor and generosity will be forever cherished.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Aldret of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Shelly Aldret-Shallo (Jerry) of Charleston, SC and Lisa Aldret-Steinbronn (Ken) of Charleston, SC; two sisters, Rosemary Elam of Charleston, SC, and Peggy Austin (Jack) of Charleston, SC, mother-in-law, Margaret Crosby; nine grandchildren, Richard Weatherford (Brittany) of Charleston, SC, Terry Bloodworth (Kate) of Charleston, SC, West Weatherford of Charleston, SC, Bradlee Jackson (Erin) of Charleston, SC, Emily Shallo, Julia Shallo, Makenzie Shallo, Maggie Steinbronn, Hunter Steinbronn, great-granddaughter, Hadley Marie Bloodworth and his beloved fur baby, Annie. He was predeceased by his brother, Joe Aldret.
