THELMA E. COOK WAGGONER, 86, of Duncan, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, in Duncan.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Thelma was born Feb. 24, 1922, in Marlow, to E.W. and Margaret Davis Cook. She attended Stover and Marlow schools. She married E.B. Waggoner on Oct. 18, 1939, in Marlow. He preceded her in death July 31, 1961.
Thelma worked as office manager at Dallas Dental Lab and at Cook's SewBiz.
She enjoyed and spent a lot of time fishing. She was an avid bowler and continued bowling up to age 84.
Thelma was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, and she especially loved being involved in Cursillo.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda L. and Philip Samuel of Frisco, Texas, and Helen Sue and Jim Lowe of Duncan; a sister, Margie Suza of Antioch, Calif.; five grand-daughters, Lisa White, Melissa Horner, Sherry Smith, Sondra Glazebrook and Suzann Taylor; nine great-grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Chas, Philip J., Avery, Drew, Ashley, Anna and Adler; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, four sister and three brothers.
Bearers will be great-grandsons, Josh Horner, Jeremy Horner and Chas White, and also Jim Barthell, Dan Flanders and Jack Munn.
Honorary bearers are Harold Best, Danny Antwine and Quanah Cox.
