Geraldine Catherine Gauthier, 90, Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Bornemann Assisted Living. Born in Green Bay, September 15, 1923, she is the daughter of the late Edward and Matilda (Dennison) Van Beek. She married Clifford Gauthier on July 24, 1943, in an outdoor ceremony at her parents home and he preceded her in death January 17, 2004. Geraldine was a homemaker throughout their 60 years of marriage where together they raised 6 daughters and 1 son. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed the family gatherings where she prepared some of her famous family recipes. Clifford and Geraldine enjoyed times spent at the cottage in Florence, especially fishing. The couple loved gardening, growing many flowers and vegetables, which were shared with family and friends. Geraldine has been a devoted Catholic her entire life and her faith was very important to her.

She is survived by her son, Dennis (Sheri) Gauthier of Green Bay; daughters, Carol (James) Bopray of Green Bay, Marilynn (Ronald) Ness of White Lake, Dianne (Timothy) Roden of California, Susan Gauthier of Green Bay, Joanne (Franki Giles) Gauthier of California, and Kathryn (Scott) Yaeger of Appleton; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Arnold (Barbara) Van Beek; sisters, Patricia Matzke, and Dorothy Van Bellinger; sister-in-law, Ruth Van Beek; many other relatives and friends.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; grandson, Steven Bopray; brother, Hank (Maryann) Van Beek; sister, Lola (Clarence "Sam") Nooyen; and brothers-in-law, Raymond Van Bellinger and Harold "Mike" Matzke.

Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev.
