Dover, Franklin D. Hall, 68, entered into rest on Friday, August 19, 2016 at his home.

Born February 5, 1948 in York, he was a son of the late Marlet E. and Betty E. (Miller) Hall, Sr.

Franklin graduated from Dover Area High School in 1966. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Viet Nam War.

Franklin worked as a master plumber for James Craft & Son, Inc., Manchester.

He was a member of the Shiloh American Legion Post 791, Rock Hollow Hunting Club, Moose Lodge in York, New Oxford Social Club and West York VFW Post 8951. Franklin enjoyed watching Western movies.

He is survived by three daughters, Lisa Harrington and husband, Joseph of Dover, Vickie Ripley and Suzette Jones, both of York; a son, Terry Wigfield of Dover; six grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Gettys of Dover and Mary Ann Border of East Berlin; and a brother, Marlet E. Hall, Jr. of Dover. In addition to his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Sharp.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Franklin's funeral at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. The viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery where veteran's honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Christ UCC in Jefferson.
