"Did you hear the bell ring, Mr. Bailey?" "It means another angel got her wings." Marian Frances Bailey, 101, died peacefully at home on August 19, 2016. She was born August 6, 1915 in Sheffield, IL to Homer and Ella Hasbrook. She is survived by daughters, Mary Sue Batterton, Barbara (Roy) Dittmann, Bonnie (Marque) Schusler, Fran (David) Hacker, son-in-law, Robert Hutchens, daughter-in-law, Sophie Bailey, sister, Jane Rosenhoover, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren (and 2 on the way), 9 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, on September 25, 1954, her daughter, Judy, her son, Patrick, her mother and father, her sister, Elvera, and her brother, Charles.Mrs. Bailey spent 28 years of her life at Mooseheart as a Mother, Nurse, and later Director of Nursing. She brought her 6 children to Mooseheart 4 years after her husband passed away. But as many can attest, she was a kind, warm, loving mother to more than her 6 children. She put her heart and soul into the love and care of all the Mooseheart kids, and wanted each and every one of them to know that they were special and deserving of her love. She will be truly missed by the many lives she touched. It was a Wonderful Life.
