The following obituary was published by Solimine Funeral Home at the time of Mrs. Dorian's death:

Mrs. Irene G. (Ready) Dorion, age 92, of Swampscott, died on Wednesday November 16, 2016, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House with her loving family at her side, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Dorion Sr.
Born in Johnson City Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Leander Roan Ready and Ella Mae (Powell) Ready. She was raised in Mississippi and had lived in Lynn for 5 years prior to moving to Swampscott over 65 years ago.
Irene was a proud homemaker who always strove to "Do Right" by her family. A great listener, she had an "ear for everyone". She was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, who was selfless and non-judgmental. She not only raised her children but also served the role of mother to many of her nieces and nephews, and as caregiver for her husband. Irene was a Communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, Swampscott.
She is survived by her four children, Robert H. Dorion Jr. and his wife Judy, of New Hampshire, Paula M. Smith, of Salisbury, Patricia E. Austin and her husband Michael, of Saugus, and Pamela D. Dorion, with whom she lived, of Swampscott, eight grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a sister Martha Reed Smith, of Louisiana, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother-in-law of the late Frank G. "Buddy" Smith, and the sister of the late Buddy, Wilma, Fae, Mae, and Dorette.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9am from the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME 67 OCEAN STREET (RTE1A), LYNN, followed by a Funeral mass at 10am in St. John the Evangelist Church, Swampscott. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hour's Monday 4pm-8pm. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Bonaventure Indian Mission & School P.O Box 610 Thoreau, NM 87323-0610.
