Although his Death Certificate lists Lonnie as not married, he WAS married on March 15, 1940 in Williamson County to Frances Anderson (1923–2010), the daughter of Roy Harrison Anderson (1901–1924) and Jennie (Harper) Anderson (1907–1987).
A soldier in the US Army and living at 111 28th Avenue North, Nashville, Lonnie was 22 years old and at home when someone shot him in the chest on August 10, 1945 and he died on the way to Thayer General Hospital. Burial was three days later in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
