Larry Richard Joseph Acquin (Brooks)
1948-2013


The passing of Larry Acquin of St. Mary’s First Nation occurred on March 11, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was 64. Born in Fredericton NB, he was predeceased by his parents Billy Brooks, Dolly Brooks and Virginia Acquin.

Larry was a member of Victory Tabernacle after having been affiliated with St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He was a friend of Bill W and a dedicated patron of Tim Hortons.

Survived by his daughters Judie Acquin-Miksovsky (Stan) and Angee Acquin; grandchildren Autumn and Bronson; siblings Michael (Ann-Marie), William "Kookie", and Stephen; several other siblings living in the USA; his growing up brother Sandy Sacobie; godsons Adam and Alex; nieces Dawn, Miranda and Chyenne; devoted dad to Ashley, Jody, Wescat and Jeff; brother by choice Ray Lyons as well as his feline friend Freida "Pretty Girl". Predeceased by a brother Patrick.

Resting at the home of his daughter at 90 Gabe Acquin Drive on St. Mary’s First Nation beginning at 3:00 PM on Wednesday and again all day Thursday. A funeral service will be held Friday March 15, 2013 from Victory Tabernacle, 8 Independence Drive, Killarney Road at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Weldon Mutch and Rev. Harold Jenkins officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
