Mr. Tyrone M. Washington, 55, passed away on August 15, 2016.

A Jacksonville native, he attended public schools, graduating from Jean Ribault Senior High School - Class of 1979. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served until being Honorably Discharged. Mr. Washington relocated to Atlanta, GA, where he was employed with Georgia Power and rendered 14 years of dedicated service.

He was predeceased by his parents, Willie F. Lindsey and Mrs. Betty Jean Lindsey; and sisters, Ms. Sheryl Lindsey and Ms. Kimberly Lindsey. Survivors include his son, Tony Washington; sister, Mrs. Sonya Lindsey; uncle, Benny Lindsey (Yvonne); aunt, Mrs. Pearline Shepard; a number of other relatives and friends.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11AM, TUESDAY, August 23, 2016 in the Rufus E. Payne Memorial Chapel of the mortuary, with Elder Toby Johnson, Zarephath Tabernacle, officiating. Memorialization will be by Cremation. Inurnment will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery. Friends are asked to assemble at the mortuary under the direction of ALPHONSO WEST MORTUARY, INC., 4409 Soutel Dr.
