Oscar Robinson, 85, North Manchester, died at 11:50 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19., at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

He was born May 7, 1931, in Blue River, Ky., to Lonnie P. and Fannie B. (Wallen) Robinson.

On April 29, 1951, he married Eunice M. Marshall. She survives.

He retired in 1992 after 35 years with the Eric-Lackawana Railroad. He also worked at Sunnyside Egg Farm, North Manchester. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Oscar Lee (Theresa) Robinson, Huntington; two daughters: Lois Lynn (John) Fairchild, Sandy Valley, Nev., and Karen K. (Stanley) Baldridge, Claypool; a brother, Robert L. (Cheryl) Robinson, North Manchester; nine sisters: Frankie (Charles) Vanderpool, Wabash, Ethel Prater, Silver Lake, Lillie (Kelly) Jackson, Wabash, Janie (Lynn) Wheeler, Warsaw, Lucy (Max) Gyer, Huntington, Eva Jean (Craig) Black, Valparaiso, Jessie (Jack) Sellers, Pierceton, Evelyn (Bill) Elliott, Laketon, and Barbara (Charles) Stackhouse, Laketon; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy D. Robinson, and a sister.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, and one hour prior to services at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at McKee Mortuary with Pastor JP Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
