George C. Ackerman, 55, funeral will be held Monday with burial in Hillcrest cemetery. He died Friday in Norfolk from a heart attack. He was born Dec. 17, 1925 at Alliance to George and Mary Ackerman. He was married on March 8, 1952 to Phyllis Fairbairn Ward. He serverd in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was survived by his wife, 5 sons, 1 daughter and her husband, 11 grandchildren, his mother Mrs. Mary Bevins at Cedar Rapids, Nebraska; 1 sister Mrs. Dorothy Young at Wichita, Kansas.
