William C. Alley, died January 30, 1971 at the Saint John General Hospital, home at 1025 Manawoganish Road. States born in 1894 (tombstone reads 1896). Worked with Western Union which was taken over by C.N.Telegraphs as Chief Operator, retiring in 1955.
Survived by his wife, Mabel Frances Graham, one son, Charles G. Alley of Montreal; two daughters, Mrs. John A. Barbery, Bathurst and Mrs. "Leigh" Walton, Calgary; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
