Gus Edwin Lambson passed away on Sunday, August 14th after a sudden illness at the age of 74. Gus was born October 1, 1941 to Almon and Fannie Lambson in Murray, Utah, where he attended Murray High School.
He married Janene Larsen on May 26, 1962. They were married for 54 years and together they had 6 children. Gus and Janene raised their large family in Murray, Utah. He was the owner/operator of Lambson Construction, which he started with his dad in 1969. He was a dedicated, hardworking and successful businessman who loved what he did and took great pride in it.
Gus was a loving husband and amazing father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His greatest joy in life was his family. He had a huge heart and was very loving and generous to all those that he loved. He delighted in spending time with his family and friends. He brought such fun and excitement to their many trips to St. George, Star Valley and Disneyland.
He loved swimming with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, golfing, trips in his motor home, exploring in his Rhino and going for rides with his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Janene; his mother-in-law, Lorraine Larsen; sisters: Margie (Lynn) Healey and Marilyn (Jack) Heinkel; children: Joannie (Dave) Ewart, Jennifer Lambson, Michael (Aurelia) Lambson and Michelle (Jeff) McKean; son-in-law, Martin Baclawski; grandchildren: Kelee, Taylor, Christian, Hadley and Danny; and great-grandchildren: Isabella, Evelyn and Sadie Gavin.
Gus was preceded in death by his parents, Almon and Fanny; sisters: Shirley and June; son, Marty Lambson; and daughter, Julie Baclawski.
A viewing will be held Sunday, August 21st from 6-8 PM at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 22nd at 1 PM at the Meadows Ward, 5735 South Fashion Boulevard, Murray. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to services at the church. Interment at Murray City Cemetery. Gus was cherished by his family and friends and he will be greatly missed. Condolences at www.MemorialUtah.com.
