Heather Clarke Comer
1925-2016
Born on May 30, 1925 in Ostende, Belgium, Heather passed away on August 18, 2016 at her Sabal House home in Cantonment, FL.
Heather was a retired educator and successful business owner. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry B Comer of Montrose, AL. She is survived by sons Jeffrey B. Comer(Becky) and their children Drew and Allison, Great grandchildren Bailey and Jack, all of Montrose, AL. Her other son Peter B. Comer(Susan) their children Brooks and Cameron are all of Pensacola, FL. Heather is also survived by her Brother-in-law John Comer of McCoy, CO.
She was a graduate of Northfield Seminary, The University of Michigan and Troy State University.
Heather Comer was a charter member of the Montrose Historic Preservation Society, member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, The Waterwheel Foundation of McCoy, Colorado and The Spanish Fort United Methodist Church.
There will be a Memorial service on Saturday, August 27 at 2PM at the Spanish Fort United Methodist Church, Spanish Fort, AL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the United Methodist Children’s Home in Selma, AL.
