Mrs. Helen J. Barth, 76, the wife of Royal Barth, both well known residents of Cisne many years, died in the Flora Nursing Center following an extended illness.

She was born at Charleston, IL Feb. 4, 1900, the daughter of John & Lola Francis Bails. She was married to Royal Barth on August 4, 1923.

Many years ago Mrs. Barth taught school. In Cisne, she was a housewife and active in civic clubs. Her husband, now retired, used to be with the Cisne State Bank.

Survivors are her husband, Royal; a daughter, Jeanne Cox; three brothers, Donald, Richard, and John; and four sisters, Erma & Marion Bails, Anna Hamilton, and Margaret Blunschi; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded by a son, Charles; a brother, Harold; a sister, Catherine; a half sister, Carrie; and her parents.

Funeral services were at Hosselton-DeSelms Funeral Home with burial in the Cisne Cemetery.
