George A. Bolen, 80, of Cisne, died June 2, 1998, at Clay County Hospital in Flora, IL.
He was a retired truck driver and also had worked for the Holland Truck Stop in Flora for 16 1/2 years when he retired.
He was born at Cisne Sept. 22, 1917, the son of Roy and Mina Mayes Bolen.
On dec. 23, 1944, in Fairfield, he was married to Dorothy Thompson.
Surviving are his wife; one sister, Aileen Bolen; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister and six brothers.
Funeral services were held at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne, with burial in the Cisne Cemetery.
