Known as Johnnie to her friends and family, Clarice raised children and cattle. Born to the Boyce Family in 1924, she went to Washington, D.C., and worked for the FBI during WWII. After coming home to Columbus, AR, she married Crit Caldwell in 1948, and they had four children, three boys and a girl. She and Critt were ranchers all their life.
