Johnnie Major Hill, 98, of Lebanon, SC, a farmer, and retired manager of Shuler’s Feed Mill for 35 years, died Monday morning at his residence.

His funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday afternoon, February 25, 2021, graveside in Rudd Branch Cemetery, Lebanon. Interment, directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, will follow. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Rudd Branch Cemetery, 1222 Whitehouse Road, Summerville, SC 29486.

Mr. Hill was born April 3, 1922, in Lebanon, SC, a son of John Wesley Hill and Annie Hill Hill. He was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church and a WW II, US Army veteran, 5th Ranger Battalion, who landed on Omaha Beach on D Day. He enjoyed working, farming and woodworking. He was predeceased by two sisters, Lucille Salisbury, and Sally White; four brothers, Barney Hill, Obie Hill, Wesley Hill, and James Hill; a stepson, Woodrow M. Clark; and was the widower of Myrtle Arledge Hill and Estis Mae Bunch Clark-Hill.

Surviving is a son, Randy Hill and his wife, Angie of Lebanon; a stepson, Bob G. Clark, Sr. and his wife, Fredda of Summerville; a stepdaughter in law, Dottie Clark of Fayetteville, NC; two grandchildren, R.M. Hill, Jr. and his wife, Reagan, and Ryan Hill and his wife Holly; and six great grandchildren.
