Rachel Beard, 92, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday. Mrs. Beard was a long tie resident of Huntsville and a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a devoted wife and mother and happily married for 66 years. Mrs. Beard loved to cook and travel with friends. She was a retired secretary from the Huntsville City Board of Education.
Survivors include daughter, Susan Beard of Birmingham, and Nancy Barnett (Mac) of Atlanta, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, at Laughlin Service funeral Home. The service will immediately follow in the chapel will Rev. Mark Seanor officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
