Anna M. Smeltzer, 84, of Springettsbury Township, died at 10:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at the York County Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Richard D. Smeltzer.
Born November 5, 1918 in Seattle, Washington, a daughter of the late Eric and Anna (Erickson) Batten, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, the late Marcus and Anna Batten.

Mrs. Smeltzer is survived by three sons, James R. Logan of York, Edward H. Logan of Lady Lake, Fla. and Kenneth D. Smeltzer of East Berlin; a daughter, Anita M. Hoffmaster of York; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, August 4th at Mount Rose Cemetery, with Rev. Robert B. Harnish, officiating.

William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 2150 Carlisle Road, York is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County Nursing Home, 118 Pleasant Acres Road, York, PA 17402 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
