Jimmy L. Rose, 75, of Littlefield, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 in Amherst. He was born in September 15, 1940 in Lamb County to Emert and Vernie Rose. Jimmy was a lifelong farmer in Lamb County, who loved tending to his crops and his land. He frequently attended farm sales and auctions, collecting antiques and tools. Jimmy loved his family, and was a very dedicated son. He was a hard worker, and a “fixer”. He always took the time to help people fix things. He was an active member of his church, First United Methodist Church in Amherst. He is survived by a son, Kory Rose and his wife Debbie of St. Louis Missouri; two daughters, Sherri Harris and husband Mike of Grandbury, and Mandy Buerster and husband Troy of St. Charles, Illinois; his mother, Vernie Rose of Amherst; six grandchildren, Chelsee Rose, Brianna Rose, Ava Cate Rose, Hunter Buerster, Hayden Buerster, and Hudson Buerster; and a sister, Lynda Tarter and husband Joe of Muleshoe. Services to Honor Jimmy and his life will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Amherst with Kevin Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Enloe, Larry Edwards, Leon Hardwick, Johnny Norwood, Jimmy Clayton and Kim Black.
