Marion Carroll, 73, Floral City passed away August 16, 2016 at home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast. Marion was born in Ocala, FL on February 24, 1943 to the late Richard W. and Marion (Richburg) Stewart and was a life long resident of Citrus County. She graduated from Citrus High School, Class of 1961 and earned her teaching degree from the University of Florida, graduating in 1964. Following graduation, she taught students at the Inverness Middle and Citrus High Schools. Marion was an avid Gator football fan and loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.
Her memory will be cherished forever by her son, Stewart Carroll and his wife Terri, of Bushnell, FL; her brother, George Mayo and his wife, Brenda of Springhill, FL; 4 grandchildren, C.J. Carroll and wife Courtney; Justin Carroll and wife Kelsey; Dylan and Ty Carroll; 2 great grandchildren, Aria and Mila Carroll. She was just preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard T. Carroll May 31, 2016 and her son, Richard Travis Carroll July 11, 2015.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, August 20th, 10:00 AM from Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Steve King, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being accepted by Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast.
