Toppy was born on July 6, 1931 at Fort Towson, OK to the late Mr. Daniel James Patrick and Mrs. Novella (Thomas) Patrick. She departed this life on Thursday August 18, 2016 at her home in Ringling following a 26 year Battle with Parkinson's.
Toppy was initially raised at Fort Towson, moving to Ringling as a young lady after her fathers passing. She married Mr. Jake Wade on February 7, 1947 at Gainesville, TX. They lived the majority of their lives together in Ringling, residing at their current residence south of Ringling since 1955.
Toppy was always a devoted housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed quilting and fishing and also liked to collect milk glass pieces. Her proudest accomplishment and greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her Father, Daniel James Patrick; Mother, Novella Patrick Sutton; Stepfather, Wes Sutton and Sister, Doris Hope Stanton.
Survivors include her loving husband, Calvin T. "Jake" Wade of the home; daughter, Mollye Henley and husband Jim of Perry; sons, Calvin J. Wade and wife Nita and Allen Wade and wife Linda , all of Ringling; 2 brothers, Daniel James "Junior" Patrick, Jr. and wife Ollie and Don Patrick, all of Ringling; grandchildren, Brent, Brad, Brandon, Trina, Laura, Karla, Clinton, Jill and Allison; 22 great grandchildren with one other on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, church family and friends.
Casket Bearers are Brent Wade, Brad Wade, Brandon Wade, Chad Martin, Michael McDonald, Destre Pickens, Clinton Henley and Cody Daft.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Friday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
