Steven Criley Hart, the oldest son of Roger Eugene and Kathy Ann (Vote) Hart, was born May 22, 2001 in Des Moines, Iowa. A life-long resident of Norwalk he lived on an acreage southwest of town. He attended Norwalk Eastview School and was going to be a sophomore this fall.
Steven was very involved with his music, playing trumpet in band and marching band. He loved sports, especially soccer, playing for Norwalk High School. He loved to spend times with his friends, family and most of all, his younger brother, Brian. Steven enjoyed family vacations, video games and riding his dirt bike.
Steven C. Hart, age 15, of Norwalk, died unexpectedly from a serious illness on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Steven, a student in Norwalk, was very involved in marching band and soccer at Norwalk High School.
Those left to cherish Steven's memories are his parents, Roger and Kathy Hart of Norwalk; his brother, Brian Hart of Norwalk; his grandfathers, Bud (Joan) Vote of Sac City, and Larry Hart of Des Moines; aunts, Lori (Wayne) McGhee and Linda (Jeff) Peterson; uncles, Curtis (Sara) Vote, Curtis (Claire) Hart, and Craig Hart; cousins, Jacob, Aaron, Jonathan (Lauren), Patrick (Vanessa), and Jessica; and a host of many good friends.
A memorial visitation with the family will begin at 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at O'Leary Funeral Services in Norwalk.
Private family burial will be in Norwalk Cemetery.
