Bobby Dean "Bob" Broadway, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at his home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Lunn's Colonial Chapel with Mitchell Lane Broadway and Mary Cantrell officiating. A Graveside service will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, August 19th at the funeral home.

Bob was born July 3, 1931 in Laurel, Mississippi to Kaley Don and Ida Laverne Broadway. He was one of nine children. At 16 he met the love of his life Opal Nell Watson. They married on the 17th of January 1953. They lived in Colorado while he served his country in the Armed Forces. They moved to Texas and he worked for the City of Wichita Falls. He then began a successful auto sales career with many Ford family dealerships and made lifelong friends and colleagues in the process. This led him to a fulfilling career at his own auto dealership, Bob Broadway Auto Sales.

Bob and Opal spent many wonderful years at Possum Kingdom Lake enjoying their many grandchildren. He had a knack for telling captivating stories, hilarious antidotes and had a smile that brightened even the darkest days. He loved a challenging crossword now and again, the funnies in the paper were his favorite daily news and enjoyed watching the Duke in westerns on TV.
