Mr. Adams was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Talley and Roxie Breazele Adams. He was a self-employed carpenter and dry wall finisher, and was a member of Cove Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, Cothran and Frances Adams, Brooks and Shirley Adams, and Joe and Elaine Adams, all of Pickens; a daughter, Kathy Adams of Simpsonville; a sister, Norene Cothran of Greenville; half sisters, Devola Garren of Greenville and Frances Aiken of Anderson; half brothers, James Adams and Kenneth Adams, both of Six Mile; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Adams; a half brother, Billy Adams; and a half sister, Ozell Mauldin.
Burial: Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
