Hazel Bennington Jones, 90, of Roanoke, passed away Friday evening, June 2, 2000. She was the widow of William D. Jones and Ernest F. Jones and was also preceded in death by a son, William D. Jones, Jr. Mrs. Jones was a member of Airlee Court Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert B. and Lelia R. Jones of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Lisa M. Jones of Roanoke, Robert B. Jones, II and wife, Pamela R. Jones of Richmond; a great-grandson, Jack R. Jones and a sister, Pauline B. DeHart of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, with Dr. Robert L. Wayne and Dr. B. Conrad Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
