He was born December 21, 1933 in Pocahontas, Iowa to Martin and Lucille (Shors) Alexander.
Gerald's greatest joy in life was tormenting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He enjoyed watching classic TV shows and old westerns, preferably while drinking a Miller High-Life beer.
His favorite place to go was AmVets Post 2 and hang out with his friends.
He liked spending time fishing and could burn anything perfectly on the grill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Lucille Alexander; his in-laws, William and Laura Garrett; brothers-in-law, Rick Garrett and Bill Zinn; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Garrett and Doris Alexander.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
