Rex Oliver Huffman, 62, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, following a period of declining health.
Rex was born on May 28, 1954, in Burke County, to the late Samuel Huffman and Essie Lail Huffman.
He attended Rolands Chapel Baptist Church in Nebo, loved music, and all of his buddies very much. Rex had a beautiful smile and brought so much joy to his whole family and everyone that knew him.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Harold "Slab" Huffman and Clebert Huffman; and one sister Merlvene Seagle.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Abees Chapel Baptist Church, with Pastor Robert Vance and Pastor Buddy Sizemore officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 19, 2016, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
